Fiber Technology

The patented fiber technology utilized in this filtration media is the latest in "Media Configuration". The cell filters media is non-shedding, gradient density, blended media. It is manufactured by building up progressively smaller and smaller continuous filament non-shedding fibers in a single thermally bonded web. Media fiber size varies from 40 plus microns in diameter on the air entering side to well into the sub-micron range on the air leaving side.

This engineered media concept brings into play all the fundamental mechanical principles of particulate capture. Larger particles of dust are caught by larger fibers on the air entering side and progressively smaller particles are caught in progressively smaller fibers through the depth of the media. The capture principals of impingement, straining, interception and diffusion are all utilized.


Pack Design

The pleat pack is fabricated from a blended media. Utilizing a glue bead separator. Controlled spacing of pleat tips and spacers are thermally formed to produce a strong aerodynamic shape. This "Design Configuration" controlled spacing allows for the 3V Cell Filter to promote diffusion of air properly over the entire pleated surface.

The media pack is bonded to the inside perimeter of the enclosure frame by a thermo plastic, hot-melt adhesive, providing a continuous and positive seal.


Frame Design

The all synthetic composition of frame, media pack and separators are not adversely affected by moisture and do not support the growth of microbial organisms such as bacteria, mold and fungi, etc.

The standard offering is rated by Underwriters Laboratories as Class II, per UL Standard 900.

The 3V Cell Filter is designed so as to work suitably within built up filter banks and/or side access systems. The standard offering includes a single, molded 7/8 header.

Rigid construction, extended surface, low initial pressure drop measured in inches w.g., long service life and savings in energy costs are features and benefits which make the 3V Cell Filter an excellent option for meeting the requirements of medium to high efficiency filtration.
