Our charcoal filter has two separate filtration layers combined into a single filter unit. The first stage is manufactured with thermally boded, 100% synthetic fibers and white in color. The second stage consists of synthetic fibers impregnated with activated charcoal and black in color. The charcoal adsorbs odors and irritants while maintaining a low resistance to air flow.

The two stages are supported and separated by a metal support grid and then pleated to increase effective surface area. The pleated media pack is enclosed in a moisture resistant beverage board frame ensuring a total seal between the media and the frame.

Our charcoal filter comes in a variety of sizes to directly replace the filters you are currently using with no modification to your system.

The granular fill disposable charcoal filter uses a premium grade activated charcoal for the purification of air streams in occupied spaces for improved indoor air quality. The unique honeycomb design along with granular activated charcoal gives exceptional performance and long life for recalculating air applications.

The granular charcoal filter comes in a variety of standard sizes. Custom sizes and specialty charcoal filtes are also available. These filters reduce energy cost, have low air flow resistance, are lightweight and durable. They can also be easily installed with existing particulate filtration media. Our charcoal filter is also available with a 1/4" non-woven, one sided polyester for dust control.

Activated Charcoal:

The granular charcoal filter is fabricated of a rigid support structure and charged with premium grade coconut shell activated charcoal. The activated charcoal has a surface area of 1100 square meters per gram or over one million square feet of surface area per square foot of filter. The activated charcoal is loaded into the filter constructed in a partial bypass configuration to promote odor removal and long life in a recalculating application. The actual life of the filter is a function of the dust and vapor contaminant condition of each application.
